Safety is the foremost priority for us all. Due to the inclement weather forecast, we are postponing Ma Saraswati pujo to next Saturday on February 5th . The day’s schedule will remain the same for Pujo and Bhog distribution on the 5th.
Please be advised that Saraswati Puja cultural program will remain on January 29th itself at 4.30 PM. Performers have been working very hard and they have submitted their videos promptly on time, and to honor that we are broadcasting it on the scheduled date and time. This will be a wonderful activity for members to enjoy as a family while being confined indoors for the weather.

We yearned to be in a better situation than last year at Saraswati Puja season, but it seems we have to wait some more. Circumstances necessitated us to decide to bring Ma’s puja to you virtually like last year. Let’s worship Ma Saraswati in our homes with all our hearts again this time of the year and entreat Her to give us intelligence to overcome Covid 19 challenges. On January 29th we will bring out our Ma Saraswati’s Pratima, decorate her, invoke Her holy presence, and perform her puja with full devotion and ceremony for all to watch live on your computers or TVs.

PUJO AND BHOG: Our Purohit Somnath da will perform a full-fledged and glorious ceremony for us. After the ceremony we will package Ma’s BHOG for you to pick up curbside at the actual puja location. This $12 package will consist of:

- Naru
- Fresh hathe gora sondesh
- Fresh fruit prosad.

The puja is centrally and conveniently located near the intersection of routes 141 and 48, about 5 miles south of the Hindu Temple. The address is 39 Stabler Circle, Wilmington, DE 19807. You will be assigned a time slot when you may drive up to the house, receive the preferred package(s), pay exact change or by check if you have not already paid electronically, and drive away happy. We will strictly adhere to all COVID protocols, so we regretfully cannot allow anyone to alight from the car and ask to see the Thakur. Please let us all fill our hearts and collective spirit by adoring our blessed MA online.
HATHEY KHORI: Those families who are ready for their child to give “hathey khori” will not be disappointed! Please let us know at info@badv.us and will be able to do it all online to your satisfaction.
UPDATED TIMELINE: Pujo time is 10 AM to 11.30 AM, with Anjali and Aarati 11.30AM to 12.30 PM, and bhog pick-up from 1.00 PM to 2.30 PM.

What to send?
2 Video Files 1 performance, 1 performers’ grandparent/relative/ teacher Introducing him/her.
● In case of dance performance please send soundtrack also (So 3 files in this case.)
● For adult performances, the performers themselves or their own emcee can do the introduction.

Do’s and Don’ts:
●Use any latest smartphone (if you do not have video camera).
●Use highest resolution possible.
●Use landscape mode (long side horizontal).
●Use a stand.
●Keep performer at the center of the screen and as close as possible.
●Record in an area where there is no noise (as low as possible).
●Individual performance should not be more than 3 min.
●Introduction to the performer should not be more than 15 sec.
