BADV (Bengali Association Of Delaware Valley) is serving the community for 20 years. As the whole world is devastated by the COVID pandemic, we as a community are moved by this and doing whatever little we can do to support India, especially West Bengal. So far, we have donated $3089 to Sewa International and $4050 to Vedanta Society of Washington DC.
We dedicated our cultural program for NABC 2021 to those impacted by COVID. This 28 minute program is solely performed by our community members and will be a tour de force of Bengali cultural renaissance where art is thriving in its every aspect. This will illustrate the unique way Bengalis have, of never losing the lessons of the past, capturing and preserving its essence, and carrying it forward into bright new paths.
We named this program “Bongo Sanskriti-r Jatra Path”. We will celebrate the evolution of our music, dance, poetry, art, and drama through the ages during Sekal (সেকাল), Moddhokal (মধ্যকাল) and Ekal (একাল).
