Hello Members,
Pujo is around the corner. During the past year and a half people have been living through such difficult and uncertain times, there was no way to predict if Durga Puja could be celebrated this year in person.
This EC of yours has been working very hard to bring events to you in spite of all the obstacles the world is facing. Covid did not deter the indomitable spirit of BADV. During the Pandemic BADV has been able to celebrate even more events than are normally held.
So, we are very proud to announce that BADV is holding Durga puja for two days: 9th and 10th of October. This is possible only because of the existence of our MahaLakshmi Temple, and thanks to Sarma-ji who has been working with BADV all along since the temple was built. We are indeed blessed to have such a temple in our community.
MANDATORY TEMPLE RULES
Temple allows only vegetarian food.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE WILL BE 150 (INCLUDING CHILDREN) AT A TIME
a) We will strictly accommodate 150 people at any given time. So please register with information and make payment . We can only honor your reservation if payment is received. **
b) Vaccine is mandatory and may be checked for anyone 12 yrs and older. Please have a picture of your vaccination card handy in your cell.
d) Outside the Puja Hall, mask is mandatory even if you visit the rest room.
e) Children below 12 should wear masks. All children must be supervised by parents at all times. Please make sure younger children are always accompanied by adults outside of the Puja Hall, with their mask on.

a. Saptami – 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (150 people)
Puja with Puspanjali, Luchi/khichuri Prasad and Lunch box
Members – $25 for single and $40 for family of 2
Non-members – $30 for single and $50 for family of 2
Children 10 yrs and older – $12.00 (food box)
Children below 10 yrs – free (Pizza).
b. Ashtami and Kumari puja – 3:45 PM to 8:45 PM (150 people)
Puja with Puspanjali, Luchi/khichuri Prasad and Dinner box
Members – $25 for single and $40 for family of 2
Non-members – $30 for single and $50 for family of 2
Children 10 yrs and older – $12.00 (food box)
Children below 10 yrs – free (Pizza).
SUNDAY
c. Nabami and Sandhi Puja – 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM (150 people)
Puja with Puspanjali, Luchi/khichuri Prasad and Lunch box
Members – $25 for single and $40 for family of 2
Non-members – $30 for single and $50 for family of 2
Children 10 yrs and older – $12.00 (food box)
Children below 10 yrs – free (Pizza).
d. Dashami and Sindur khela – 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (150 people)
Puja with Puspanjali, Luchi/khichuri Prasad and Dinner box
Members – $30 for single and $50 for family of 2
Non-members – $35 for single and $60 for family of 2
Children 10 yrs and older – $12.00 (food box)
Children below 10 yrs – free (Pizza).
RESERVATION PROTOCALS
SAPTAMI, ASHTAMI AND NABAMI RESERVATIONS, BADV MEMBERS WILL GET PREFERENCE AND IT WILL BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Please be member (pay membership fee) first.
- members are welcome to come to as many slots as they want.
- Place is confirmed by payment only.
- Members are requested to absorb the paypal fee to meet BADV’s expenses
- Food menu will be displayed in due course
Our sincere apologies for putting the following parameters for the Dashami slot. We wish to have you all with us for Dashami, but our hands are tied, and we are bound to implement Covid protocols issued by the temple. 150 people including children are the limit.
- To get the slot for Dashami (and sindur khela)
a) First Preference will be given to the BADV members who will sponsor $100 or more. This is applicable for the slot (Dashami) reservation till the deadline.
b) Second Preference will be given to the members who will book all the three previous slots. (Saptami, Ashtami and Navami)
c) Third Preference will be given to the members who will book minimum of 2 slots.
d) Rest will be first come first serve basis.
We are opening the registration now. Registration deadline is 28th September.
Please RSVP at info@badv.us with the first 4 following information.
- Total number of members attending?
- Which slot/slots you want to reserve?
- How many food boxes (adults + children > 10 yrs) and how many kids’ (children < 10 yrs) food?
- Your good phone number so that we can reach you easily.
- Once you confirm we will call, and payment procedure will be advised. **
- Only your payment will then reserve your slot/slots.
After the deadline members, non- members will be allocated on first come first serve basis.
